Elafonisi island

Have you ever been to an uninhabited island? Here's your chance! Translated to Greek Elafonisi means "Deer Island". However, there are no deers but there is pink  sand! This place is unlike anywhere else with its unbelievable colors , rare animals and unique history. Even though the location is quite remote, you can find anything you need there, the beaches are very well equipped. You can rent beach beds, umbrellas and have lunch there.

Elafonissi island is known as the ´´Maldives´´ of Crete. Visitors admire the beautiful colours of the sea and the pink sand that is all over the island.
It is a place of history that goes back to the Turkish occupation and the difficult times of the Cretan revolution.
During the drive to Elafonissi you will see many small traditional villages and gorges that will show you a different type of life.

Note:

Duration: 8-9 hours, visit to the cave of St. Sophia and the monastery of Chrysoscalitis.

You will have three hours for rest and bathing on the beach of Elafonisi
